미니마이즈는 이러한 글로벌 지도 서비스에 적용되는 중동 지역의 3D 랜드마크 디자인을 진행했습니다. 위성 자료와 다양한 실사 이미지를 수집해 건축물의 구조와 지역적 특징을 분석하고, 랜드마크 고유의 실루엣과 상징성을 유지하면서 지도 환경에 최적화된 형태로 재구성했습니다. 또한 다양한 줌 레벨에서도 건축물을 직관적으로 인지할 수 있도록 스케일과 디테일을 조정했습니다. 3D 모델은 Low–Mid Poly 방식으로 제작해 시각적 완성도와 렌더링 성능의 균형을 확보했으며, 표준화된 제작 프로세스를 구축해 향후 다양한 국가와 도시로 확장할 수 있는 기반을 마련했습니다.
Naver is expanding its global mapping platform with the launch of Balady+, a localized map service developed as part of Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation initiative. By integrating digital twin technology with detailed mapping data, the platform aims to deliver a more intuitive and accurate spatial exploration experience across Saudi Arabia.
Meanimize designed 3D landmarks for the Middle Eastern region featured in this global mapping service. Using satellite data and real-world imagery, we analyzed the architectural structures and regional characteristics of each landmark, preserving their distinctive silhouettes and identities while adapting them to the map environment. We carefully refined the scale and level of detail to ensure clear recognition across various zoom levels. The 3D models were developed using a Low–Mid Poly approach, balancing visual quality with rendering performance. We also established a standardized production workflow to support future expansion across different cities and countries.
